The mean FEV 1 /FVC in the CAT groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 was 64.46±11.37 , 65.25±12.74 , 59.05±13.03 and 49.73±7.82, respectively (P<0.001).
• A CAT score over 10 suggests significant symptoms. • A change in CAT score of 2 or more suggests a possible change in health status. • A worsening CAT score could be explained by an exacerbation, poor medication adherence, poor inhaler technique, or progression of COPD or comorbid conditions.
